In 2004, the institute organized a unique Meet called “International Conference in Human
Machine Interface” along with Massachusetts Institute of Technology, U.S.A., at J.N. Tata
Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, which had several international faculty and was attended
by about 800 delegates. This happens to be the first ever such event in the country to bring
doctors, engineers and scientists to collaborate with each other to develop newer technologies.
