The annual surgical state conference in 2004 was organized at Bangalore. There was a need to organize an operative workshop for one day which had to be elaborating on some latest techniques that all surgeons would be interested. The organizing committee unanimously chose B.E.S.T. Institute & Research Centre for this event. The institute organized the pre conference workshop during the 22nd Conference of KSC-ASI. A live operative workshop was organized at A.V. Hospital where all different types of laparoscopic hernia surgeries were demonstrated and transmitted to Pai Vista Convention Centre using fibreoptic cables. There were several national faculty including Dr. Praveen Bhatia from New Delhi and Dr. Surendra Ugale from Hyderabad.
